This charming cottage is part of a traditional steading at Byreburnfoot, in a peaceful rural setting. The property is of sandstone construction under a slate roof, dates back to 1850, and combines a traditional cottage appearance with a range of modern comforts.
The property has full sash and case double glazing and central heating, as well as a multi-fuel stove, with solid oak flooring, fitted kitchen with integrated appliances including fridge-freezer and dishwasher, and a separate laundry/ drying room adjoining.
At ground floor level there is a double bedroom, luxury bathroom with walk-in shower, and a bright and spacious open-plan living / dining / kitchen, with a wood burning stove and flatscreen TV for cosy nights in.
Two further attic bedrooms ( one small double/ one single) have coombed ceilings, and are accessed via a spiral staircase, and this flexible layout means that the cottage will be ideal for couples or smaller groups.
The cottage has a sunny south-facing aspect, overlooking an orchard and gardens, and towards the Esk valley, and enjoys a private sun-trap patio garden to the front, complete with garden furniture and barbecue for those glorious sunny days!
As with all accommodation at Byreburnfoot, all towels, bed linen, heating and electricity are included , along with a Welcome tray and a starter basket of logs.
This property shares a private access road with Stables Cottage, has gravelled parking to the front, and may be suitable for guests with mobility problems.
