A charming and elegant Victorian house set in more than an acre of tranquil gardens, in a beautiful rural setting on the Border Esk river.

We aim to provide our guests with a truly comfortable and relaxing stay. With peaceful and attractively furnished bedrooms, a private guest sitting room, and wood burning stoves, we make every effort to ensure that your visit is memorable.

Breakfast and evening meals are freshly prepared using locally sourced produce, and fruit and vegetables from our own kitchen garden wherever possible.

We have three charming and spacious Guest Bedrooms, each individually and comfortably furnished, with full private or ensuite facilities. The house retains many period features such as working shutters and fireplaces, while still providing every modern comfort and convenience for guests.

Our aim is to produce delicious food for guests to enjoy, locally sourced wherever possible, and freshly prepared. On arrival, guests are welcomed with a complimentary tray of coffee or tea, often accompanied by some of Bill’s delicious home baking.

The Stables

Located in a peaceful rural setting in the grounds of Byreburnfoot House, the Stables is a luxurious 3-bedroom self-catering holiday cottage in the recently converted steading, dating from around 1850.
